Tomtain is 453m high, lying at the east of the Campsies. There is a good track up from the Tak Ma Doon Road, leading all the way to the top and then on to some of the other hills in the range. Boots or wellies are advised as it can be a bit wet and boggy/muddy. The views from the top are fantastic on a clear day. When we hid the cache we were followed by a swarm of literally hundreds of Daddy Longlegs for most of the way from the car to the top, and even at the top they were all over us as we looked for a place to hide the cache. Thankfully young Lucy doesn't mind them and so it was actually rather nice.
There was a cache near GZ a couple of years ago, but it got muggled. Let's see if this one lasts longer.
