Station 68, This cache was orignally placed by Akitahikers back in 06-06-2010, it was one of her first. Most of them had a historical bend, though this one was tribute to voluntier fire fighters, and after this last summer of 2015, with all the fires in the state both this year and last I felt this cache should be revived. This is the original cache container, the original log in it's orginal location. The orginal cache listing was GC29WRN.
About Station 68:
Station 68 is one of the many stations in fire district 45, this station is staffed by all voluntiers, and one fire truck or engine lives here. The station was originally built in the mid-60's before that a fire call ment a truck had to come out of Duvall. Thank you Voluntier firefighters for keeping us safe!
The Cache:
To find the cache you will need to park in front of the fire station and walk behind the building, please do not block the bay doors, instead park off to the side, you never know when these folks might be needed!
Please know that if you found the original version of this cache you are welcome to go out and sign the log again, and then log your find on line as this is a new cache listing and new owner so technically it is considered to be a different cache.
update: June 2020, this fire station has been decommissioned. What will happen to the building (and the cache) long term is unknown, but for now it is vacant. But because the fire department still owns the building please continue to pay attention to the no parking signs.
Congratulatons to Forty-n-Eight for FTF, of the orginal incarnation of this cache!
Congratulations to FenchurchE & NepoKama for CO-FTF of the new incarnation of this cache!
