This is one of a series of caches in tribute to one of the longest running songwriting duos ever. Elton John and Bernie Taupin have been creating music for parts of six decades now. One of the first dates with my now wife was an Elton John concert. And one of the things that I have recently knocked off my bucket list was a visit to Las Vegas to see Elton in his Million Dollar Piano show at Caesar's Palace. Elton no longer performs there, and now has embarked on his three year touring finale before retiring from the road.
I thought that using the studio albums as cache names would provide good variety in this series.
This is the twenty fifth studio album recorded and released by Elton John in March of 1995. While still promoting his work for The Lion King soundtrack, in September 1994, five months before its release as a single, Elton John debuted the single Believe during a concert with Ray Cooper at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Believe reached No. 15 in the UK and No. 13 in the US, and was the only American hit from the album to reach the top 20. Two other popular singles from this album were Blessed and the title track Made In England. Interesting to note on this album: with the exception of the title track, all other songs on the album were one word song names.
