Over time I have seen this prickly bush going out of control.
Nice as it is with the purple/red fruits and magnificent when flowering somebody might have to get in harms way to keep it under control.
Overseas I have seen acres of fertile land completely covered with plants of the same genus. The fruits as well as the plant are edible.
