Geocache Description:

The Colls Dam is man-made structure, created to supply water to downstream gold claims in the early mining days.

Colls Dam track is a wheel-chair accessible walk with beautiful scenery and native bush, only a 1 minute drive from the Nelson Creek campsite and picnic area.

This geocache was placed by the Department of Conservation as a part of Conservation Week 2016. BYO pencil/pen. Bring something to trade- there are prizes inside.
