This cache is placed in conjunction with the Set in Stone Historic Cemetery Tour. This is intended to become an annual event. This hide is placed in an area where many of the personalities who helped shape Ponca City are resting.
The mausoleum was built in 1923. It has 413 crypts and 10 private rooms which have 54 deluxe crypts. E. W. Marland, Governor, oilman and Lydie, his wife along with J J McGraw, Maylands’s banker, and his family rest there. Notice the stained glass in the building. Look for the Miller Family of the 101 Ranch and Wild West Show in the area.
