B. This former women's college basketball head coach won 8 NCAA championships, surpassed only by 10 for John Wooden and Geno Auriemma. She has also written 3 books, including one about her diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease.
C. This forward for Indiana Fever has been called one of the greatest women's basketball players in the world and has 3 Olympic gold medals. For playing, she wears a tiny pair of athletic hearing aids, but prefers lip reading in her daily life. I relate to her because I also wear hearing aids.
D. In the 70's, I enjoyed watching this hoops player. He looked so "tiny" while playing on the court, and he was such a speedy and shifty guard. (I found out later that he is 6 foot 1.) In the 72-73 season, he led the NBA in scoring and assists, becoming the only player to win the titles in both categories in the same season.
E. At McArthur Court, in the 70's during grad school, I watched the Kamikaze Kids play under coach Dick Harter. I especially enjoyed following this player who is, at this writing, still the all-time leading scorer for the Ducks. He was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. Go Ducks!

I. Besides starring in commercials, this gregarious, renowned, retired basketball player also starred in 3 movies. It has been said that when asked whether he had visited the Parthenon during his trip to Greece, he replied, "I can't really remember the names of the clubs that we went to." He is known for his comical remarks during press conferences.
