This cache is located in the midst of a peaceful woodland on Brackenhurst land. Beautiful any time of year but can get muddy when wet, so be prepared! This cunning container has made its home amongst the trees and blends right in to the surroundings.
Brackenhurst Campus comprises a 200-hectare scenic estate situated on the outskirts of the minster-town of Southwell, and is set around a former country house built in 1828.
Given its rural setting, a vast array of wildlife co-exists with staff and students; present are species and habitats such as the great crested newt, bats, birds, badgers, hares, ancient hedgerows, the Victorian Walled Garden (a listed Heritage site), and Sheepwalk's pond and Wildlife Hide (Wetland Conservation Area). How many interesting species can you spot as you explore the grounds on your Geocache adventure?
Did you bring your four legged friends along on the treasure hunt? If so, we would love to know. Please comment with how many dogs and if you’ve walked them here before. Thanks.
