Meet inside the Exploration Gateway at Sippo Lake Park at 11 a.m. before we all head outside to hunt for temporary caches placed throughout Sippo Lake Park especially for this event! Find the temporary caches to earn tickets for prize drawings and collect beads to make your own tradeable. The temporary caches cannot be logged on Geocaching.com, but there are also 12 permanent caches in the area that you can seek and log. Stark Parks’ staff will be available to provide basic geocaching instructions for first-timers.
Refreshments and prizes will be provided, and there will be time for mingling, sharing stories, and trading trackables. This is a family-friendly event! And, of course, it is FREE!
The culminating moment will be the official unveiling of the Strolling Stark GeoTour back inside the party hall. Once unveiled, the Strolling Stark GeoTour will take cachers across Stark County, Ohio, to national attractions, quaint villages and towns, and other unique local spots with parks and trails surrounding them. Full details, locations, and descriptions of the GeoTour caches will be launched here on Geocaching.com during the event on November 14!
