Geocache Description:

A series of caches meant to provide a little information about my favourite equine - the donkey:-) All of the donkeys in the photos on the cache pages can be found living nearby at The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.

Donkeys often engage in mutual grooming where they stand side by side and 'nibble' on the withers of their grooming buddy. This allows them to reach areas for scratching they otherwise would not be able to reach themselves, and it is also possible that it serves to lower the heart rate of both animals, thus resulting in a calming effect.
