Some bushwacking may be required. The ground can be wet, especially in spring or after fall rains.
In the distance you can see evidence of the drumlins left behind when the glaciers receded from the area thousands of years ago. One particularly large drumlin is home to the Batawa Ski Hill.
The Hamlet of Batawa is a small community, previously home to the Bata Shoe factory.
