I placed this cache here in honour of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo for whom this park has been renamed. His life was taken in October 2014 while guarding the tomb of the Unknown Solider in Ottawa.

Councillors have officially named a leash-free dog park in honour of slain Hamilton soldier Nathan Cirillo.
The park, which is in the Meadowlands and bordered by the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, Costco and Highway 403, has been informally known as Cinema Park due to its proximity to the movie theatre.
Cirillo — who was shot and killed while guarding the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa last October — was a dog-lover and often seen walking his own dogs there.
Ancaster Coun. Lloyd Ferguson said one of the most iconic images taken after Cirillo's death depicted his beloved pet peeking out from the Cirillo back yard, surrounded by flowers and Canadian flags.
"He rescued dogs — and I think it caught the attention of everyone when the dog with the sad eyes looked out from under the fence," Ferguson said.
The naming has been given the blessing of the Cirillo's regiment, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada, in addition to his mother Kathy, Ferguson added. A formal plaque will also be erected on the park grounds.
