Punta Mulatera
cresta Val Clarea / Val Cenischia
La Punta Mulatera è una montagna poco pronunciata delle Alpi Cozie alta 2.544 m s.l.m.
Questa montagna erbosa con pochi affioramenti rocciosi è la prima vetta della cresta fra le valli Cenischia e Clarea, seguita dalla Punta Toasso Bianco a 2.622 m s.l.m.
La si raggiunge sia da Santa Chiara, Fraz di Giaglione, sia da Bar Cenisio, punto di appoggio: Rifugio Avanza'.
Accesso: In auto sulla SS. 25 del Moncenisio dopo l'abitato di Giaglione, svoltare a sinistra e imboccare la strada che conduce in Val Clarea / Santa Chiara fino al WP P1, che corrisponde al termine della strada asfaltata.
Chi lo preferisce, può procedere su sterrato per circa 4 km fino al WP P2 nei pressi del pozzo Enel (altro cache).
Poco dopo, nei pressi di un tornante si raggiunge il WP BV dove decidere come procedere per il rifugio Avanza': A destra via Grange Marzo rimanendo sul versante della val Cenischia o a sinistra via Bergerie Martina dal versante della val Clarea . In entrambi i casi bisogna raggiungere il rifugio Avanza' e da lì passando dall'omonimo passo salire in cresta raggiungendo subito il Toasso Bianco e poco dopo la Punta Mulatera.
Una terza opzione (quella che abbiamo scelto noi) è quella di percorrere la cresta prendendo la sinistra al bivio come se si volesse passare dal versante della val Clarea ed abbandonarlo verso destra al passo Crementore (WP BC) per salire la cresta prima al Mulatera e poi Toasso Bianco, in qualche tratto senza sentiero evidente.
Abbinando il percorso in cresta (all'andata o al ritorno) ad uno dei due percorsi su sentiero da o per il rifugio Avanza', si compie un bellissimo anello.
Durata: Calcola circa 2/2.5 ore se parti dal pozzo Enel e 1 ora in più se si parte da Santa Chiara + ritorno.

La Pointe Mulatera est une montagne des Alpes Cottiennes avec une hauteur de 2.544 m au dessus du niveau de la mer.
Cette montagne herbeuse avec quelques affleurements rocheux est le premier sommet de la crête entre les vallées Cenischia et Clarea, suivi par Punta Toasso Bianco à 2622 m au dessus du niveau de la mer.
Il peut être atteint soit de Santa Chiara (Giaglione) ou de Bar Cenisio.
Accès: En voiture sur la route nationale ss 25 du Mont Cenis après le village de Giaglione, tourner à gauche et prendre la route qui mène à Val Clarea / St. Clare jusqu'à la WP P1, qui correspond à la fin de la route goudronnée.
Ceux qui préfèrent peut procéder sur un chemin de terre sur environ 4 km jusqu'à la P2 WP près de l'Enel bien (autre cache).
Peu de temps après, dans un virage, vous atteignez le WP BV vous pouvez choisir entre deux options sur la manière d'atteindre le refuge Avanza »: A droite via Grange Mars sur le côté du Val Cenischia ou à gauche via Bergerie Martina tournant dans le côté Val Clarea . Les deux chemins mènent au refuge Avanza et à partir de là par le refuge Avanza'. Comme vous grimperez la crête atteindre immédiatement le blanc Toasso et peu de temps après la Punta Mulatera. Une troisième option (celle que nous avons choisi) se promène sur la crête en choisissant gauche à la fourche et de poursuivre sur le chemin vers la vallée Clarea et laisser le droit au Col Crementore (WP BC) monter la crête et atteindre la première Punta Mulatera et après la Punta Toasso Bianco.
En combinant ce passage sur la crête (sur le chemin ou sur le chemin du retour) avec l'un des deux sentiers balisés au départ ou à l'alpage de Avanza ', vous marcherez une belle sentier en boucle.
Durée: 2 / 2.5 heures si vous démarrez votre randonnée de P2 plus 1 heure si vous commencez à P1 à Santa Clara + le chemin du retour.

The Punta Mulatera is a mountain of the Cottian Alps with a height of 2,544 m above sea level.
This grassy mountain with a few rocky outcrops is the first summit of the ridge between the valleys Cenischia and Clarea, followed by Punta Toasso Bianco at 2,622 m above sea level.
It can be reached either from Santa Chiara, hamlet of Giaglione, both from Bar Cenisio.
Access: By car on the national road SS 25 of the Moncenisio after the village of Giaglione, turn left and take the road that leads to Val Clarea / Santa Chiara up to the WP P1, which corresponds to the end of the paved road.
Those who prefer can proceed on a dirt road for about 4 km until the WP P2 near the Enel well (another cache).
Shortly after, in a bend, you reach the WP BV you may choose between 2 options how to reach the refuge Avanza': On the right via the Grange Marzo proceeding on the the Val Cenischia's side or left via Bergerie Martina turning into Val Clarea side. Both ways lead to the refuge Avanza' and from there through the Avanza' Col you'll climb the ridge reaching immediately the Toasso Bianco and shortly after the Punta Mulatera.
A third option (the one we chose) is strolling on the ridge by chosing left at the fork and proceeding on the path towards the Clarea valley and leave it to the right at the Col Crementore (WP BC) climbing the ridge and reaching first Punta Mulatera and then the Toasso Bianco. By combining this passage on the ridge (on the way there or on the way back) with one of the two marked trails from or to the Avanza' alpine hut, you'll walk a nice loop trail..
Approx. duration: 2/2.5 hours if you start your hike from P2 plus 1 hour if you start at P1 in Santa Chiara + the way back.
