Western S.L.A.P. #9 Redux: Beginner's Letterbox Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

AngelusCowl: This spot is cursed- 2 caches in close proximity, both archived.

This one fell victim to the new distribution center- there is another post within 100’, but it’s well within the DC’s private property. Time to retire this one.

Geocache Description:

Cache is AT the posted coordinates, a simple Park-N-Grab Letterbox. Please avoid business hours if possible.

I used to have another cache here. I decided to replace it, but I also like having some different icons available so this one is a letterbox hybrid.

A letterbox used to be a form of treasure hunt pre-dating geocaching, where individuals would follow a series of instructions to reach the letterbox (turn left at the tree, walk 10 paces, etc.) At the container, there was a rubber stamp. Letterboxers carried their own personal logbook and would stamp their book as proof that they had found the letterbox.

In the geocaching context, a letterbox is a geocache containing a rubber stamp for anyone who letterboxes. Some have to be found using old letterboxes or similar riddles, some are like most other puzzles, and some act like traditionals- this one is the latter.
