NOTE: Nicola Ranch has installed a locked gate at the end of this road nearest to Merritt, so account for having to turn back at the end to return to Helmer Lake. Make sure you have snacks, water, and fuel!! This is our first geocache series, and we chose one of our favourite dirt roads. Swakum Mountain makes for a beautiful Sunday afternoon drive!
This is a large open space with a view that goes on and on. There's a few spots that look like an obvious choice, so we tried to chose the one we didn't first think of. You might say this is an easy one, but we were getting cold and getting eager to make it home. Hopefully you enjoy the view from here as well.
