Geocache Description:


Camouflaged pill bottle hidden in Manhattan Park.
Park is open from 7 AM to 10 PM.


Stage 1 is a sign; use as indicated below to calculate final location.

Take note of how many 'prohibited' categories (in red circles) are on the sign. Assign that value to 'N'.
A = N - 2
B = N + 1
C = N + 1
D = N + 2
E = N + 2
F = N multiplied by N

Vintage Base Ball player positioning, rules and equipment evolved quickly from 1858 - 1867.

Equipment standardized, rules changed to perfect the game and, much later, gloves began to be used.

Player positioning and rules had a great impact on the game...especially considering there were no fielding gloves.

Below are the players' positions. Think about how this could affect the game!

Player --> Positioning (circa 1860)

Basemen --> play within a step of their base.
Shortstop --> may play anywhere.
Outfielders --> play straight away.
Behind --> plays several feet behind home plate.
Striker --> straddles a line drawn through home plate.
Hurler --> tosses from behind a line 45 feet from home plate.
