Commissioned in the mid-eighties to illustrate a book of Cajun ghost stories called “Bayou,” Rodrigue gave face to the loup-garou, a Cajun werewolf dog, by mimicking the image of his loving terrier-spaniel mix, Tiffany. Although she was the runt of the litter, Tiffany proved to be an invaluable studio companion, keeping Rodrigue company day and night as he created his art.
Although he is no longer with us, Rodrigue’s images of Blue Dog will be forever enjoyed by many future generations.
