It is wrongly believed by the world's geocaching commuinty that the first ever "Geocache" was placed by Dave Ulmer, a computer consultant in Oregan USA on May 3rd 2000.
As with many things that the American's believe they invented, like baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, democracy, cars, English.... They were once again beaten to it. As you will see I have photographic evidence that it was in fact a young Scouse Lad in about 1880 who hid the first geocache.... I wonder if it is still there...?
