Can drive up to this but is not wheelchair accessable into the
schoolhouse.
This is a wonderful piece of Arizona history.
This log cabin was put up in a single day by a log raising party in
the autumn of 1885.
It was forced to close in 1907 for lack of students. It was
abandoned until 1967 when this roofless structure was saved from
demolition and one of Arizona's oldest schoolhouses was restored as
a community project.
To claim this cache you need to:
1. Take a picture of yourself by THE SIGN ON THE CABIN BY THE DOOR
with your gps and post it with your log.
2. If unable to post a picture answer the following question and
email to us. (DO NOT PUT ANSWER IN YOUR LOG.)
What society recognized the brave pioneers who estalished this
oldest existing log school house in Arizona?
Enjoy,
Team CBX2,
Cody & Cheryl
