The local schoolyard clean-up was cancelled due to bad weather this fall, so we were thinking it would be nice to get some geocachers together to help clean it up. The way the wind blows in this area, trash is always accumulating along schoolyard fences and it looks terrible.
The PTO was more than happy to let us host a CITO here to help get the area cleaned up since it will not be held during school hours.
Also, the local girl scout troop is working on an aluminum can recycling project. All the money raised from recycling cans is being used to buy blankets for the homeless sheleter. For every aluminum can you pick up and put in the scout bin or bring to the event for the girl scouts to recycle, your name will be entered into a drawing for a doorprize.
