This cache has been placed by the Department of Conservation as part of Conservation Week (1-8 November) 2015.
Washbourn Scenic Reserve is a remnant of tall native forest within a largely farmed landscape. A return track takes you through the forest. A local community group actively trap for rats and stoats.
The cache is a clear plastic box.
