Please join us for an informative program wrapping up the 2015 NYS Parks Saratoga-Capital District Geocache Challenge on Saturday, November 14 at Saratoga Spa State Park in the Ice Cream Parlor meeting room - Victoria Pool complex, from 9:00am - 12:00pm! Breakfast refreshments will be served so bring your appetites!
We would like to hear from you – park’s geocachers! Was the 2015 Challenge the best yet and how do we make the 2016 better? Many volunteer geocachers helped us place and maintain caches this year – now we would like to hear from everyone who found one of our caches, or all of them, how did we do?
9:00-9:30 am: Meet, Greet, and Eat! - Dunkin Donuts Coffee, donuts, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and juice!
9:30-10:30 am: Highlights of the 2015 Challenge and lead discussion on the direction of the 2016 Challenge
10:30-11:00 am: Prize drawings! Thanks to our many, many sponsors!
11:00 am: Head over to the Warming Hut to place your "Closest to the Pin" flag
11:15 am: Special Event at the Warming Hut with an surprise BONUS cache!
11:45 am: "Closest to the Pin" contest winner announced and Prize awarded!
We are excited that our list of generous sponsors have grown again this year! The Grand Prizes will be drawn from the pool of geocachers who have completed the 2015 Geocache Challenge of 40 Passport stamps. There will also be drawings with great prizes for those who attend the Wrap-Up Party! There will be special event geocaches placed within the Saratoga Spa State Park that will go live the morning of the event. In addition, there will be a "Closest to the Pin" competition, so bring your GPSr!! A prize will be awarded to the lucky winner!
