Geocache Description:

I was introduced to Island Lake State Recreation Area many years ago by my SCUBA club, the Ford Sea Lancers. I thought I knew the park but now realize I knew Spring Mill Pond as that's where we maintained the swim area buoys and dove on a regular basis. Geocaching has introduced me to the rest of the park. This cache is my attempt to introduce others to the wonders of this beautiful park.

This nano has been placed near a large parking lot that bikers and hikers use. It has access points to both the Blue and Yellow Loops. Please be conscious of muggles and use stealth and ingenuity to find and return the cache safely.

Park entrance: 6301 Kensington Rd. Brighton MI 48116

RECREATION PASSORT REQUIRED

Can be purchased annually ($11) in person at a state park or when you renew your state of Michigan license plate.

This cache was hidden for the 2015 Fall Fun Day sponsored by

Michigan Geocaching Organization
