Geocache Description:

Just your standard quickie LP P&G.

With the 3 Rivers and various stream tributaries that Rome is built around, it is not uncommon to run across a Common River Rat in your Geocaching journeys in this area. So, what to do with them? Know as a delicacy in many countries, why not just cook em up!?! But, how, you say? Well, let me just fix you up with a good ol' Southern River Rat recipe!! Enjoy!!

**Ingredients **
Fresh River Rats
Fresh Herbs
Chilli peppers
Peanut Cooking Oil
Butter
Unsalted Roasted Peanuts (crushed into small pieces)

**Preparation**
Blow the rat skin with a blowtorch to remove the fur.
Leave the rats to cool down.
When they are cool enough, gut & skin the rats.
Remove the heads and split them in half.
Put all the good rat parts in a jar, with the fresh peppers, herbs and oil.
Place in the fridge for about half an hour.
Deep-fry until brown in a mixture of butter and peanut oil.
Serve HOT sprinkled with some crushed crunchy peanuts.

****Recipe also is good using your common store bought Yard Bird (aka Chicken) wink
