Geocache Description:

My wife and I moved to Lincolnshire in1978 with our 2 young children and enjoyed taking them to Spring Lake Park. Fast forward to 2015 and my daughter who lives in Long Grove is taking her kids to this hidden gem where I have placed a cache in celebration of our grandson's 7th birthday and his first 100 finds.

The original location for this hide was to be in Spring Lake Park, but I didn't know there was already a cache hidden there, the final for a puzzle cache. In many ways one has to be flexible when it comes to geocaching, whether it be searching, or in this case revising the hiding site. Be sure you take advantage of the trail along the lake for the beautiful view. Congrats to Drafter55 & LadyD61 on FTF and their innovative approach to find a route to this cache. I was originally going to place this hide off of a north end trail which would have been closer to the bridge where a Heron Creek cache is hidden. The trek wouldn't have been nearly as much fun had that happened.
