I was introduced to Island Lake State Recreation Area many years ago by my SCUBA club, the Ford Sea Lancers. I thought I knew the park but now realize I knew Spring Mill Pond as that's where we maintained the swim area buoys and dove on a regular basis. Geocaching has introduced me to the rest of the park. This cache is my attempt to introduce others to the wonders of this beautiful park.
I hadn't planned to place this cache but couldn't help myself when I stumbled upon GZ. Good thing I had an extra cache on me. The container can accommodate small items of trade. BYOP

Can be purchased annually ($11) in person at a state park or when you renew your state of Michigan license plate.
