Ano Korakiana is a historic settlement. The village was first inhabited during the medieval times and today it maintains a lot of traditional aspects of that time. It was mainly populated by noble families who still give a dynamic presence with the well-preserved houses and the fine details from the 18th century.
The village is known for the considerable number of churches, 37 in total, the long tradition in folklore music and ceramic art.
This Geocache can be found in the grounds of Ktima Vradi next to Luna. Follow signs for Trailriders or Luna, Ktima along the roads. Trailriders is well worth checking out for a fantastic experience of seeing the surrounding area on horseback.
If the dogs come to greet you they are from the stables and are friendly. The big white one is Molly, the big brown one is Bella, the white and brown terrier is Smiley and the black and white collie is Gypsy. The other terrier is Pickle and she is friendly but wont come near you. You are more than welcome to walk down to the stables after finding the GZ to look at the horses.
