Lyttelton Lookout Traditional Geocache

A beautiful place to ponder the mysteries of nature and the view of Lyttelton Port. This is a straightforward cache but you'll need to be a little adventurous to get there. It's worth it!

Take the little side track off the Crater Rim Walkway.running below the bluffs of Mt Pleasant. Park on the Summit Road. Start of the track is S43 35.296 E172 43.255.

This is not suitable for young geokids as the terrain is quite uneven, with drop-offs along the way.

You can continue along the track towards the gun emplacements up towards Buckley's Reserve.

When you find it, rest a while and enjoy the views.
