The Council say: "This walkway, near the Henderson centre, follows its namesake, a babbling stream which weaves through lush native bush. This is a very sheltered area and a rejuvenating place for walkers or joggers, even on cool or windy days. Opanuku highlights include the kowhai in flower (around October) and the calls and company of fantail, tui and kingfishers. A picnic area is provided at the Border Road entry/exit and here information panels reveal more about the wildlife along the way."
I say: This looks like a great spot for a Geocache! This geocache is not too far into the shrubbery so please be careful rehiding it.
It is a medium size cylinder shaped cache painted to hopefully blend in. the lid is tied in place so please make sure to reattach carefully.
This is quite close to a stream and drop offs so please make sure you junior cachers are safe.

Happy Caching :-)
