I know you hiked a mile to get to the cache, but we hope you will still have some time to explore the area around the cache. The beach goes on forever and the inland trails are beautiful beyond belief. Hike over to Europe Lake and try to find backpack site #15. It has to be the perfect campsite!
One of my favorite spots is a little way up the beach from the cache. It's a tree that hangs out over the lake and forms a great natural spot for a nap

The cache is in a Rubbermaid container and is well hidden. PLEASE replace it the same way you found it. PLEASE replace the cache in the exact same place you found it. UPDATE! In May of 2021, we placed a new container BUT THE OLD ONE REMAINS for posterity. It didn’t seem right to remove the original container from its 20 year old position. If you find the old cache container first, keep looking. Try viewing from another angle.
