Geocache Description:

Caley's Force of Nature ... CITO Event - Forfar Loch Country Park

Where : Forfar Loch, Craig O'Loch Road, DD8 1BT.

When : Saturday 23rd April 1100 to 1400.


Details

This event is designed to allow geocachers to give a little back to the environment and community. Caledonian CacheFest wish to bring regular CITO events to our geocaching calendar.

Meet at the Forfar Loch Rangers Center at 1100. After the safety brief the on shift ranger will point us to the best spots to assist them tidying up the Country Park.

At the start of the event a Health & Safety brief will be done, making everyone aware of how to handle the tools / equipment properly and any potential risks associated with the work they will be doing. You will be expected to sign a disclaimer stating that you have received and understood the brief!

Rubbish bags, litter pickers, first aid kit and safety vests will be provided but we ask everyone to bring their own gloves please.

Soft drinks will supplied to all who need them. Remember to wash hands thoroughly before eating or drinking. Water, wipes & hand gel will are be provided.

Group photo will be taken at 13:45am

General Advice

  • Always wear gloves and use litter pickers (provided)
  • Do not lift anything heavy without help.
  • Use the right tool for the job.
  • If you do not like the look of it, do not touch it!
  • All children should be accompanied by an adult.

Gear you will need for the day:

  • Sturdy Boots
  • Waterproof jacket (incase of rain)
  • GPS
  • Food and Water
  • Strong Gardening Gloves.
  • Smiles!

If you are interested in coming, please post a note saying so it would aid in organising certain aspects.

Full rubbish bags will be left at an agreed spot for later collection by Angus Council.
