Geocache Description:

In geocaching, a pit stop is where a person of a crew stops in the pits during a trip to search for a geocache, for refuelling, new tyres, repairs, mechanical adjustments, a driver change, or any combination of the above.

At any geocaching trip that permits scheduled pit stops, pit strategy becomes one of the most important features of the trip; this is because a car of a geocacher is travelling at 68.5 miles per hour (110 kilometres per hour) will travel approximately 107 feet (31,5 metres) per second. During a ten-second pit stop, a car's competitors will gain approximately 275 metres over the stopped car.

During a scheduled pit stop, the team's crew search for a geocache, services the vehicle as quickly as possible, completing a number of different services, and does a lot of planning of for the rest of the race. The most common services performed are refuelling (where permitted) and changing tyres.

But why bother? Take your time, drink some coffee or any other beverage, stretch you legs and if you feel to: Search for this or any other geocache.

Have a nice pit stop.
