Geocache Description:

Park and Grab along the highway just South of Cuba

There is room to pull safely off the highway, which has high speed traffic. Keep a close watch on children and dogs. It is not on the fence or behind the fence on private property. On our recent trip to Durango, we happened upon what we believe to be the ancestral kennel ruins of the "Bassett Slaves". Why did they leave? Did the climate change and raising those beautiful hounds became difficult? Or was Albuquerque calling with the prospect of employment and neighbors? Does anyone know? When traffic is quiet you can almost hear the baying of hounds from the past. Photo of ruins and spoiler photo attached. Thank you Fam2go for this container and the fun we had placing it.
