La Torre de Vigía de la Chullera se ubica en el límite occidental de la provincia, entre dos ensenadas, en propriedad privada. Es de forma troncocónica, con 7.45m de diámetro e 10.05m de altura.
Fue fabricada con mampostería de piedra pequeña caliza y bermeja, colocada en hiladas horizontales. Su cuerpo alto parece responder a una reedificación de principios del siglo XVI, a juzgar por su composición, con mampuestos reducidos y desordenados, en ellos se intercalan algunos ladrillos a tizor. En su lado alto occidental se conserva un trozo enlucido llagueado en blanco que es característico de iglesias y fortalezas malagueñas y granadinas e principios del XVI.
Encontramos noticias sobre él en 1497 en las "Instrucciones para la guarda de la Costa" dadas por los Reyes Católicos a las ciudades, villas y lugares del Obispado de Málaga, ya se la denominaba Torre de la Chullera; también hacia 1780 se la llamaba Torre de la Culebra, nombre de un arroyo cercano.
Este torreón contaba con agua de pozo y retransmitía las alarmas entre las torres de Guadiaro y la del Salto de la Mora (o Torre de la Sal), esto es, cubriendo 9 Km. Su conservación es muy buena, tan sólo en la base se ha deteriorado por robo de piedras; se conserva la bóveda, parte del pretil, la puerta y la ventana de vigilancia; sobre éstos huecos están las ménsulas de piedra que sostuvieron los matacanes de protección.

The Watchtower of La Chullera is located on the western edge of the province, between two coves, in private property. It is of frustoconical shape, with 7.45m of diameter and 10.05m height.
It was made of masonry of small and reddish limestone, placed in horizontal rows. His tall body seems to respond to a reconstruction of the early sixteenth century, judging by its composition, with small and disordered masonry, and with some bricks. At its highest western side remains a white plaster jointing piece that is characteristic of churches and fortresses in Malaga and Granada and the early sixteenth century.
We find references to it in 1497 in the "Instructions for the Coast guard" given by the Catholic Monarchs to cities, towns and villages of the Diocese of Malaga, and it was called the Chullera Tower; in 1780 was also called Culebra Tower, named after a nearby stream.
This tower had a water well and retransmitted the alarms from towers Guadiaro and Salto de la Mora, that is, covering 9Km. It's in a good state of conservation, just the base has deteriorated due to stolen stones; the vault, the railing, the door and the surveillance window still exist; of these holes are the stone brackets that held the protection parapets.

ES: La cache no está en la torre. La cache se revelará al final del camino peatonal que conduce a la playa, al final de la carretera. Se puede acceder a cualquier hora del día, trae tu propio boli. Desde la playa, se disfruta de unas vistas privilegiadas de la Torre e de las montañas y Estepona (a la izquierda) y de la Roca, Gibraltar (a la derecha). El aparcamiento de verano puede resultar un reto añadido, puede ser mejor aparcar en el otro lado de la A7 y luego utilizar el puente.
EN: The cache is not in the tower. The cache is hidden at the end of the pedestrian path that leads to the beach, at the very end of the road. You can access it any time of day, bring your own pen. From the beach, one enjoys privileged views of the Tower, the mountains and Estepona (to the left) and of the Rock, Gibraltar (to the right). In summer parking may prove an added challenge, might be easier to park on the other side of the A7 and then use the overpass.
