Geocache Description:

Sammy's Cornish Capers follows the adventure of Geo-hound Sammy, the Wire Haired Fox Terrier, on his 'walkies' journey around his local area. This is the third in a series of fun caches aimed for the Children to enjoy, full of swaps. A great cache to find/move on TBs. laugh

Easy to park quite close by, it's a short walk along a gravelly track (can get muddy in places after rain, so wear appropriate footwear). Ground can be uneven in places too so be careful with pushchairs & buggies, just be aware. At a fork in the track you can decide whether to head left towards St Ives or right which brings you out along Heather Lane as you join the main road. sp;

Look for a black plastic official container packed full of swaps & a brightly coloured log. Pirates of Penzance be wary, the operative word is SWAP. Please don't just take, be kind to fellow Geocachers and leave something behind to discover, there's nothing more disheartening than finding a plundered cache with just a tatty log in it, certainly for children. Keep the fun going and be considerate of others please.

Cache is located near a fork in the track of a lovely countryside walk that can take you right across to St Ives. Coordinates take you to a tree however due to the extreme muddy & wet terrain most of the year, sometimes people sensibly leave the cache near a Granite pillar as opposed to under the low hanging bough of the tree (where its meant to be!). Use your Geocaching instinct to find it, its big, easy to see. There is a high point that you'll see close by in this area, if you head up it you can see all 3 coastlines on a clear day, the view is magnificent. Remember to stop & say hello to the friendly horses in the fields nearby as you go along and in the Spring marvel at the fields full of beautiful daffodils all in bloom.

First to Find embroidered patch to sew onto your caching bag or jumper is waiting for the first person to find this Geocache!

Please replace this cache securely so it doesn't get 'muggled'!

.

* Sadly Sammy passed away recently at the ripe old age of 14, so these caches are now even more special, please look after them when you stop by.
