This cache is placed at quite a busy and picturesque location. As well as access from the canal towpath, there is also access to this spot from The Vale which is a pleasant area in itself, and is the residence for many a student at Birmingham University. I had a room on Maple Bank on The Vale back in 1980 for the first year of my degree course, and naturally placing a cache here brings back fond memories. The cache is located just away from the towpath which can be very busy at most times of the day - this should allow an unhindered search. The canal itself is increasingly popular and four or five barges passed I as was surveying the area and placing the cache on the afternoon of the 26th October 2015. If you have not visited this section of the canal before you will be delighted at what you find - I recommend that you take a walk in any direction along the towpath. Best of luck.
