Once these buildings of the Hoyles-Escasoni complex served as long term care facilites for Eastern Health. Now the residents have a new state-of-the-art home in the Virginia Park area. All of the residents have departed - except one. This one refused to move. He liked it here. He had his own way of getting around the building, and could enter and leave the building whenever he wished. He could carry his little scroll with him, and whenever he was found he welcomed all to sign his scroll, as long as they had their own pen. Yet with the kitchen shut down, the pickins are lean... so this mean one is now certainly a lean and mean one. So beware: If you are on the hunt for the last resident of this home, don't get stung by either him or the entrance to his lair. Don't say we didn't warn you.
We must admit: we were inspired by our Sunday of geocaching at eveleye5's "Hallowe'en Series" in late October. These are within the Pippy Park trails, just on the outskirts of town and not far at all from this hide. Should you find that 'The Departed' is to your liking, please consider eveleye5's chilling series which starts with "gnawing" (GC4QAZA) and ends off with "Danse Macabre: Ahead in the Game" (GC653C2). We also invite you to our cache "Gimme Shelter" (GC6335W): You won't be disappointed.
