El cementerio de Santa Isabel es una autentica joya en bruto. Vitoria es famosa por sus catedrales góticas, sus pintxos, sus plazas y monumentos, pero hay rincones mas olvidados que deberian poner en valor el arte y la historia que encierran sus paredes. Las bellas esculturas que adornan algunos de los panteones de personajes ilustres de la ciudad que allí reposan y las pequeñas capillas de importante valor arquitectónico pasan desapercibidas a una ciudad que ha aprendido a vivir alrededor de un cementerio.
El ayuntamiento es consciente del potencial de este lugar y ya son numerosas las iniciativas que se hacen dentro de este cementerio: visitas guiadas, conciertos al aire libre... Por lo que no tengais reparo en venir y conocer este singular lugar. Este cementerio es un lugar público, pero por favor mantaned una actitud respetuosa cuando esteis dentro. :)
Para que disfruteis de este lugar he diseñado dos rutas para que podais localizar el cache: un paseo nocturno y un acertijo (que se puede hacer de día o de noche) para que averigueis las coordenadas. Debido a que el cementerio cierra a la noche: HORARIO DE ABRIL A OCTUBRE: 09:00 - 20:00. HORARIO DE NOVIEMBRE A MARZO: 09:00 - 19:00, habrá meses en el año (especialmente en Verano) en el que el paseo nocturno no será posible ya que el lugar cierra antes de que se ponga el sol. A continuación os explico como realizar ambas rutas.
**Si os animais podreis hacer las dos búsquedas, son muy diferentes entre sí. Y no tengo ningún inconveninete en que logeeis el cache dos veces indicando cómo lo habeis localizado cada vez, si con el nocturno o con el mistery.
RUTA NOCTURNA
Las coordenadas indican al punto de partida del recorrido nocturno que os adentrará, en un sencillo paseo, en los rincones mas bonitos de este cementerio . Desde este punto de partida, con ayuda de una linterna, buscad el recorrido indicado con puntos reflectantes localizados en árboles. EL recorrido transcurre enteramente en las calles del cementerio, en ningun momento debeis abandonar el camino asfaltado. A mitad de recorrido, debido a la fuerte iluminación de las farolas, es posible que haya algunas chinchetas que no se vean tan claramente. Por ello he marcado àrboles con dos chinchetas indicando que debeis seguir recto, y asi pronto vereis por donde sigue el camino. El final del recorrido esta indicado con dos arboles en los que vereis chinchetas formando un triangulo en cada tronco. El cache esta escondido entre esos dos árboles.
He diseñado la ruta para que podais hacerla, buscar el cache, firmarlo y salir del cementerio en menos de 15-20 minutos. Asi que no os preocupeis demasiado por el horario de cierre, pero por favor tenedlo en cuenta. Feliz búsqueda!! ;)

Para descifrar las coordenadas debereis ir a cuatro rincones del cementerio y buscar la siguiente informacion:
PASO 1: 42.857416, -2.673120 - PANTEON FAMILIA SANTA MARIA
Este panteon de la familia Santa Maria tiene una singular forma de pirámide. En cada uno de los lados hay una placa que hace mención a las (¡con decimales incluidos!) la cantidad de reales que legó cada miembro a los pobres de Vitoria Gasteiz.

Se dice que el ángel que vigila la tumba de Julián Zulueta señala con su mano alzada a quien pronto morirá. Tal vez lo que haga sea impedir que el muy cruel Marqués de Álava, el mayor negrero de la Cristiandad hispana y traficante también de mano obrera china, abandone su osario.

The cemetery of Santa Isabel is an unpulish diamond. Vitoria is famous for its gothic cathedrals, its pintxos, squares and monuments, but there are also little forgotten places that should really consider the art and the history behind its walls. The beautiful sculptures adorning some of the pantheons of famous people from Vitoria that rest there and small chapels of important architectural value go unnoticed to a city that has learned to live sourounding a cemetery.
The council is aware of the potential of this place and they already have many initiatives within this cemetery: guided tours, open air concerts ... So do not hesitate to visit this cemetery. This cemetery is a public place, but plase keep a respectful attitude when inside. :)
To really enjoy this place I have designed two different routes for you to find the cache: an evening walk and a puzzle tour (that you could do during the day or at night) to guess the coordinates. Because the cemetery closes at night: OPENING HOURS FROM APRIL TO OCTOBER: 9:00 to 20:00. HOURS FROM NOVEMBER TO MARCH: 9:00 to 19:00, there will be some months (especially in summer) when the evening walk won't be possible to be done because the cemetery closes before the sun sets. Below I explain how to do both routes.
** You could try doing both searchs, there are very different from each other. I have no problem if you wanna log the cache twice indicating on your log how did you find it each time: either by night or with the mistery.
NIGHT WALK
The coordinates indicate the starting point of the night walk that will take you, in a simple walk, through the most beautiful corners of the cemetery. From this starting point, using a flashlight, look for the path indicated with reflective points located in trees. The route runs entirely on the streets of the cemetery, at any time you have to leave the asphalt paths. At halfway, due to the strong lighting of the streetlamps, you may not see some pins that clearly. That is why I have marked trees with two pins indicating that you must go straight, and so soon you will see where the walk continues. The end of the trail is indicated with two trees in which you will see the pins forming a triangle on each trunk. The cache is hidden between these two trees.
I designed the route for you to walk it, find the cache, loog it in and get out of the cemetery in about 15-20 minutes. So do not worry too much about the closing hours, but please keep that in mind. Happy spooky hunting!! ;)
THE MISTERY
To guess the final coordinates of the cache you will have to visit four interesting locations within the cemetery:

This pantheon of Santa Maria family has a unique pyramid shape. On each side there is a plaque that mentions the (decimal included!) money that of each member of the family donated to the poor in Vitoria Gasteiz.

ESP - Una vez hayas llegado cerca del cache, con el paseo nocturno o averiguando las coordenadas, deberàs buscar a unos 20 cm del suelo. Es un contenedor pequeño con làpiz.
