Geocache Description:

These caches are named in honor of the caching philosophy of Team RAT's (Rose Among Thorns).  Some of us just don't know when to stop, and none of us really want to stop, so, HEY!, "just one more, team!".   Of course, we like our "hides" to be more creative.  laugh

Under this section of highway lies part of the earliest US Federal road built under contract, the old Bellamy Rd..  From this point westward to Newnansville, the route is generally uncertain, with some debate as to whether or not it passed through present-day Waldo.  It is known that it ran along the south side of the Santa Fe R. in the northern portion of Alachua County, but the specific trail has never been found since it was little used, passing through a Spanish land grant that discouraged travel and settlement.
