Geocache Description:

Placed with full permission.
Bonhoeffer Botanical Gardens

Wow, what a difference a few months has made to the gardens! The 3/4 miles of a continuous wheelchair path is finished with 16 interpretive rainy-day kiosks that provide information about native flora, as well as local and natural history. The kiosks’ roofs are now planted to attract butterfly species requiring specific native plants as larva hosts. Native herbal gardens, feeders for native bird species, and a pond system serve as holding water for Freeborn Church Creek’s 2 types of Coho. Beautiful glass art is displayed in the ponds and also at the kiosks. Two species of frog may be seen, and even perhaps, including the endangered Oregon Spotted Frog and the rare Western Pond Turtle, (with the proposed assistance from the Woodland Park Zoo).

So if you have not been back since "Coming Attractions" was published come back again to see what is Now Playing! Please respect the operating hours of 8:30 -5:00. Life is short, you are invited to take a few moments to enjoy its God-given natural beauty.
