Geocache Description:

A "regal walk" into the rolling Hampshire countryside, passing a fascinating historic industrial site.

This cache can be found along part of The Monarch's Way bridleway, near Winchester, and can be reached from two directions. We suggest you park by the entrance to TWT at N51 01.284 W001 17.989, but keep clear of gates and the path. An event held here on the first Sunday every month means you will have to park elsewhere (nearby).

Find out more about TWT at: TWT website

There are other footpaths and a few caches in the area offering alternative combined routes.

A well defined path will quickly take you to The Monarch's Way and into quiet rolling scenery. On a summers evening you will see plenty of rabbits and, if you are lucky, deer.

The Monarch's Way has a lengthy, meandering route following the flight of Charles II after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651. It is 610 miles long and goes from Worcester to Shoreham.

The cache is a two litre plastic box full of childrens goodies. Watch out for the thorns!!
