Bis vor einiger Zeit gab es hier in diesem kleinen Dorf in der Südoststeiermark einen Milchautomaten, wo man Rohmilch direkt vom Erzeuger holen konnte. Daher der ursprüngliche Name dieses Listings. Seit der Landwirt von Milch- auf Fleischproduktion umgestellt hat, gibt es hier leider keine Rohmilch mehr. Dafür werden hier aber jetzt nachhaltig und artgerecht Weiderinder gehalten und Rindfleisch bester Qualität produziert - habe es selbst bereits oft genossen!
Auf der Webseite des "Vereins Steirisches Vulkanland-Weiderind" heisst es: "Wir bekennen uns zur Kreislaufwirtschaft, zum Wasser-, Boden- und Klimaschutz, zu kurzen Wegen und zu hundertprozentiger Gentechnikfreiheit. So stammen beispielsweise sämtliche Futtermittel direkt von unseren umliegenden Naturschutzflächen." So soll es sein - best practice!
Sicherheitshalber angemerkt: Ich bin mit diesem Landwirt weder verwandt noch habe ich wirtschaftliche Interessen. Mir geht es ausschließlich um nachhaltige Landwirtschaft und ich möchte Euch mit diesem Cache die Gelegenheit geben, vielleicht auch für Euch selbst diese regionalen Leckerbissen zu entdecken.

The given coordinates will lead you to a family owned farm in a small village in south-eastern Styria. Until some time ago milk cows used to live here in comfort and there used to be a milk vending machine, filled daily with fresh milk - thus the original name of this listing. Since the farmer has changed from milk to meat production, there sadly is no milk vending machine to be found here any more. Now this farm breeds cattle in a sustainable and species-appropriate way. I myself have tried the beef from this farm many times - you can taste the difference!
Here is a translated excerpt from the website of this livestock coop: "We are committed to circular economy, committed to protecting our water, soil and climate resources and committed to short distances and we are working 100% free of genetic engeneering. All our fodders originate from our nature protecting meadows in the surroundings." That's how it should always be everywhere - best practice!
