Geocache Description:

EPIC - Exploring Pender Island Caching

Pender may not have any rivers, but it features many creeks, such as the little seasonal trickle creek located at the end of the Canal Rd. Beach Access Trail. During the wet season, the trail itself turns into a little creek, and ends up at a steep set of stairs in front of a dripping bedrock wall!

Follow the trail down from the parking area and descend the steep, but short set of stairs to the rocky beach below. You'll have great views of Saturna, Mayne, and west into Browning Harbourt if the weather is agreeable! If the season is right, be on the lookout for a bubbling little creek that trickles down from the bedrock and disappears into the rocky beach soil only to re-emerge closer to the water. Look for the longest leaning log over the beach with a tall mast shooting into the sky. Trace it to the bank. BYOP

Please replace securely!
