Geocache Description:

A steep trail runs through a linear park reserve connecting Blackburn Road and Frazier Road and passes through stands of Coastal Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maples, and near the top, Arbutus. End to end, the trail is less than 800 m long, but climbs about 110 m.

From either end, the instructions are similar: Drive or bike to the trail head, park, and start climbing (or descending) to the cache. When you reach a field filled with ferns, you’re close to the cache.

Bottom to top, you’ll find 194 stairs, some constructed of rock, the rest of gravelly soil fill behind a small log barrier held in place by pegs made from stems cut from nearby Ocean Spray (also known as IronWood). Lots of tilted trail without stairs as well, though.

Trail could be slippery in wet weather.

Cache is within a metre of the trail’s edge. Please respect the private properties on either side of the 3 m wide linear park reserve space.

Small rectangular snap lid container, bordering on ‘micro’ in size. Room for only a logbook, and a few pieces of small swag. BYOP, and please be economical in the use of space when signing in.
