Geocache Description:

Close In Canter brings you down an old bridle path past a nice little farm, ending in a quiet neighborhood.  You may even see some riders out on the path along the way.

This is a nice little walk down an old bridle path that connects Marshfield center to the Hills.  It takes you past Carolina Hill, which is part of a large area of conservation land, and over to a quiet neighborhood that backs up to marshland.  Heading north, if you could keep walking in a straight line from the end of the trail you would hit the marsh in about 10 minutes; unfortunately there is no public access.  On many days, you can here the ocean as you approach the trail's end.  One hundred years ago the area was clear cut, but now it is heavily forrested.  A nice easy walk with no elevation change. The best place to hop on this "trail" is from an access point next to the intersection of Ferry St & Bridle Path.
