Hunt's Pond Jailbird Traditional Cache

Hunt's Pond is a little State DEC Land. Once a State park but a few years ago NY State closed it down and it's now considered state forest land instead of a park. Once maintained with water spickets and bio-toilets. Now it's only available for rustic camping and fishing.

This geocache is a short walk from the vehicle barricade which seperates the park. You can park near the boat access and enjoy a stroll among the trees. The old road is a loop and leads out to the fishing dam. I have camped here many times as a kid and wish the area was still maintained.
