Geocache Description:

BLACKBOROUGH VIEW

ABOUT THE SERIES

Overview

*PLEASE ENSURE ALL CACHE CONTAINERS ARE REPLACED AS FOUND, AND PLEASE BE GENTLE*

This is a series of 22 caches around my home village of Kentisbeare. The series can also be combined with other caches in the village or the newer CRK2 loop. I often walk these roads in the late afternoon with my pony, so you may see me around! In case you're wondering, the background image is a sign somewhere in the village. Bonus Brownie Points if you can locate it!

Route

The route is around 4 miles long and the route passes through fields and along country lanes and bridlepaths. Parts of the route become very muddy after heavy rain in the winter, so the route is NOT suitable for pushchairs in winter though it may be in summer. Wellies are advised after heavy rain. The series is suitable for children and families, and a shorter, 2-mile route can be created by doing caches 1-11 and then following GC668XZ up through the village.

Parking

We are very lucky in Kentisbeare to have a very spacious and free car park outside the village hall, and it's perfect for cachers ;) Both this series and the CRK2 loop are designed to start from there.

IMPORTANT NOTES

All caches in the series are unique: please take care of the containers, replace as found and do not leave spoilers in your logs
A couple of caches require more thought to sign the log once you have found the cache container. You need to sign the log to claim a find.

This Cache

This cache the first in the series. You may notice there's quite a smell here - that's because of the chicken farm next door! Between here and the next cache you'll be on a public bridleway beside some arable fields. On a clear day, you may see Dartmoor as you walk down the hill.

.

To get to the next cache, Kentisbeare House, follow the Public Bridleway and your GPS.

Happy Caching!
