The guidelines for hiding Geocaches remind us that caches are often hidden in places that are important to the owner, or to attract cachers to a place of special interest or beauty.
This cache is a little different. There was a particular moment in time at a particular location that I wanted to celebrate, but the location I wanted to use was already taken. So I come to this place instead to enjoy the scenery over the Alkham Valley and let my mind travel. This cache is therefore a little topsy-turvy. It doesn't so much fit an A to Z of caching, more a z-a. It offers you the chance to sit and reflect on a memory that is unique to you, but that happened at another time and at another place.
My other time and place was in a churchyard in Paddlesworth. It was pouring with rain and I was soaked to the skin, but that didn't spoil one of the best moments of my life and this is a place to come and remember that day.
There is no parking at the cache, although you might just manage to find a spot at Old Hawkinge if you're lucky and have a small car. Otherwise, use one of the two suggested parking spots.
When searching for the cache please *beware* of a knee-high partly-hidden barbed wire fence in the vicinity of GZ.
