Swanmore Methodist Church sits near the heart of the village of Swanmore with the primary school, the village shops, war memorial and St Barnabas Church (GC4NTVD) very close by. St Barnabas was built in 1845 and the (Primitive) Methodist Church was built (£135) to serve the growing Victorian population less than 20 years later in 1863 (have a look at the Church Micro number for this cache - pure coincidence!!). In 1909 a school room was added to the Church (£270) and in 2010 another large extension was added. The church celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 2013 and is the longest serving Methodist Church in the Meon Valley Circuit.
