A straightforward camouflaged micro hidden close to the picturesque Portland Park.

Gateway to Portland Park

This geocache was originally part of the advent series of caches for Christmas 2015 by 24 different members of the Nottinghamshire Geocachers Facebook page , all of which represent a different aspect of the Christmas advent theme.
As the festive period passed the cache naturally evolved to a standard and after the container went missing in late April, the relevance to Christmas became non existent so a new cache has been put in place close to the original location and the title and hint changed to bring it in line with the hide.
Parking is available at the nearby Portland Park carpark which is accessed from Lindleys Lane in Kirkby in Ashfield town centre where the cache can be found at the listed coordinates a very short walk away. Pushchairs should not be an issue here but wheelchair users may require a little assistance between the carpark and cache as there is a slight incline and some uneven ground.
